Little known tidbits of Shakespearean lore.

Many scholars think that Shakespeare named his theatre "The Globe," and they take this to be an act of symbolism. Recent documents unearthed during a London dig give evidence to the contrary. Apparently, Elizabethans knew his theatre as "The Scone."

Shakespeare had an illigitimate child with his half sister. She died of SIDS, and was thrown into the river Thames.

The Scone's principal actor, Westerly Mitchellson, was murdered by Jack the Ripper. Tradition says that Mitchellson frequented disreputable establishments, and that he was trying to save the life of his favorite "lady of the night."
